Change the registered user account details
The best way to do this is for the tenant to log in to the website using their old email address and change it to the new one there (this assumes they can remember their password). We strongly encourage you/them to try this first. All parties can see a step-by-step guide on how to do this here.
What if we can't remember the password?
If absolutely necessary, we can change the tenant's email address. But this is only in extreme circumstances. This is because it opens the possibility the tenant is someone different from before. If they're a different person then the deposit won't be valid and it puts the landlord at risk of legal action. Therefore, if the tenant is absolutely unable to get in to their old account, please send us an email confirming their new email address and confirming it's the same person.
