As part of our Rent Collection service, if your tenant doesn't pay their rent on time or has stopped paying, we'll notify you by email of this.
We'll also chase your tenant on your behalf for the rent in arrears. If, at any time, you want to stop reminders being sent to your tenants then you can pause the reminders through your account.
What Happens If They Still Don't Pay?
We won't intervene on your behalf without asking you, but if your tenant gets deep into arrears we can refer you to our legal partners who will be happy to provide assistance and support throughout the arrears process.
Please note that we won't automatically chase arrears that were accrued before Rent Collection was enabled. However, if you would like us to help with previous arrears then you can use the "add a charge" button to log any outstanding amounts. We will then remind tenants about the outstanding balance until it has been settled in full.
Do You Offer Rent Guarantee Insurance?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have suspended sales of Rent Guarantee Insurance until we are confident that the service offered will meet our landlords' expectations. We hope to be able to start offering the service again soon.
Any landlord who took out a policy before the start of the pandemic will be able to renew their policies by following the guidance in their policy documents.
