If you find you are no longer able to proceed or change your mind, you should notify the landlord as soon as possible.
You are welcome to contact the landlord to ask if they would be willing to return your holding deposit to you.
Please bear in mind though, that where you pull out of an application like this you are liable to forfeit the holding deposit as per the terms you have agreed to.
You can find our terms here under "Holding Deposits"
What happens to the holding deposit?
A holding deposit is just that: a hold over the property, with the money being used to secure the property.
Pulling out from the application is by definition giving up the right to that holding deposit, in order to help recover some of the lost money caused by you withdrawing your application to be passed in full to the landlord.
