We recommend that all adults (aged 18 or over) that are going to be living in the property as their main UK residence are named on the tenancy agreement. Any tenants who are under 18 should not be included on the contract and should not be referenced.
This is so each person that is living in the property has a joint and several liability to uphold the conditions of the tenancy agreement, such as paying the rent and maintaining the condition of the property.
For this reason, we do not support the addition of permitted occupiers to our contract when using Rent Now.
Excluding an adult from the tenancy agreement who resides at the property may invalidate a Rent Guarantee Insurance (RGI) policy. You can read how to become eligible for Rent Guarantee Insurance here.
