At OpenRent, our average time to let just 8 days! This means that it's extremely rare for landlords to reach the 4 month expiry limit. All listings on OpenRent have a 4 month expiry limit, which allows us to keep the cost for all landlords as low as possible. This is outlined in our fair use policy in our terms here.
Your listing will be paused for 3 weeks when your listing has reached the advertising limit, so you can still begin Rent Now with a tenant. The listing will be taken off pause after those 3 weeks have elapsed.
Unfortunately, we're unable to be flexible on the 4 month limit. Therefore if your listing has expired and you wish to continue receiving new enquiries, you will need to duplicate your listing.
How to re-advertise your listing when you've reached the 4 month limit?
This can be done by clicking on one of the Duplicate My Listing button. Here's an example of how this'll look:
Upon clicking Duplicate My Listing, we will create a copy of the original advert where you can then make changes to the details (e.g. rental amount, description, photos, etc.) before publishing.
Why do we have a 4 month advertising limit?
A property vacant for four months is a cause for concern for us as well as you and usually indicates that the price is too high and/or that the listing needs attention (for instance photos might be poor quality or unclear).
This limit also allows us to keep the cost for all landlords as low as possible, since most of our landlords find the right tenants for their property in under a week.
