Once created through Rent Now, the tenancy is a private agreement between you and the landlord. To end a tenancy agreement, you should serve notice to the landlord directly in writing. You can find guidance on serving notice here.
The landlord will then need to mark the tenancy as ended from their OpenRent account. This will confirm the end date of the tenancy and ensure everyone's records are up to date.
If the landlord has not already done this, you can prompt them to end the tenancy directly from your account. You can do this by using the 'Prompt landlord to end tenancy' button from the relevant tenancy page here.
Once you've done this, we'll contact the landlord to ask them to mark the tenancy as ended on the system. We will also contact each tenant on the tenancy to let them know a prompt has been made.
