When completing a reference, you will be able to include some of the benefits that you are currently claiming in the 'sources of income' section. The benefits that you can include are:
- Universal Credit
- Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
- Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Attendance Allowance
- Child Benefit and/or Guardian's Allowance
- Bereavement Support Payment
- Pension Credit
- Maternity Allowance
- Carer's Allowance
- Armed Forces Independence Payment/Compensation Scheme
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
If you receive multiple different benefits, you will need to declare them as separate income sources. Any benefits that you are in receipt of that are not listed above, or mentioned below in the Scottish/previous benefit types lists, must not be declared.
It is important that you list your benefits correctly, as the types of benefit you receive will affect your ability to use our deposit replacement scheme.
Scottish benefit types
If you live in Scotland, you may receive an Adult or Child Disability Payment Scotland instead of a Personal Independence Payment (PIP). If this is the case, please select the 'Personal Independence Payment (PIP)' option when you are asked to choose a benefit type.
Previous benefit types
You may be in receipt of older benefit types that are not listed. If this is the case, you will need to select the benefit type that has replaced the one that you are receiving:
