Yes!
You will need to pay first month's rent and the deposit to OpenRent in full, and the contract states that this must be paid straight away. If this is not possible, please discuss and agree a specific date to pay this balance with the landlord and we will happily accommodate this.
How?
If you have agreed with your landlord to pay a partial amount of the balance, you can see the methods for making payment here. The details will have been provided automatically once the contract was signed by everyone and will be available on the website.
The landlord will be notified of any partial payments made this way, but please bear in mind that the full balance should be paid as soon as possible and certainly in advance of the move-in date, to avoid any delays to the start of the tenancy.
Any payment will initially go towards the first month's rent. Once the rent has been paid in full, further payments will go towards the deposit.
Once any part of the security deposit deposit has been paid, we must receive the remainder of the final balance within 25 days. This requirement ensures we are setting up a legally compliant tenancy for landlords and tenants alike. In such cases where the full balance is not received within 25 days, we will refund any funds towards the deposit amount that we hold, and you can simply pay this back to us when you have agreed with the landlord to pay the remaining balance.
What if my landlord doesn't agree to a partial payment schedule?
If you cannot agree a payment schedule or partial payment option with your landlord you will be asked to pay the full balance on signing, as the contract states on Page 3, Clause 2.
