Your tenants' deposit will be protected in the government approved custodial scheme named in the contract that you signed with your tenants at the start of the tenancy.
The deposit was transferred to your personal deposit protection account and is now in your control. You'll need to login to your deposit protection account to arrange for it to be refunded to the tenants.
How do I find the details of deposit?
When we first protected the deposit for you we sent an email to everyone with the details of the deposit and where it was protected. You should be able to locate this email by searching for the subject line "Deposit Protected, please save the prescribed information for your records".
If you are unable to locate this email then you'll need to contact the deposit protection scheme for further assistance on recovering your account.
How I make deductions from the tenants' deposit?
We understand that sometimes it may be necessary to make a deduction from the tenants' deposit due to unpaid rent, or damage caused to the property. Where this is the case we'd always advise that you contact your deposit protection scheme for further advice.
