Our Fair Use Policy
In order to ensure the best experience for all landlords using our system, and the tenants enquiring, we reserve the right to pause advertising for listings which have received a disproportionately high number of enquiries.
You can read the full terms of our fair use policy here.
Can I still begin Rent Now even though my listing is paused?
Rest assured, when your listing is paused you can still begin Rent Now with a tenant here.
What to do when you receive a high number of enquiries?
If you’re receiving too many enquiries in a short space of time, we’d recommend pausing your listing by pressing ‘Pause/Stop Advertising’ on the relevant listing page. This will allow you to go through your enquiries and potentially move forward with an applicant. You can find out more on how to do this here.
Another step you can take is to enable our pre-screening service. Not only does this increase the quality of enquiries, it will allow you to better manage your enquiries with a criteria for your tenants clearly set out. Screening can be activated from your enquiries page, by clicking on “Tenant Screening Options”. You can find out more on how to enable this feature here.
What to do if you want to continue advertising?
If you'd like to re-advertise the listing on the portals, you'd have to pay for further advertising.
You can otherwise relist on OpenRent at no cost.
You can find out more on how to re-list your property here.
